Terms of Use

Introduction

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the NITA-U Kola HR Portal ("the Portal"), operated by the National Information Technology Authority – Uganda (NITA-U). By accessing the Portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Portal.

Access to the Portal

The Portal is provided for the purpose of facilitating job applications, internship applications, and internal HR management for NITA-U staff and authorised users. Access is subject to availability and NITA-U reserves the right to restrict or suspend access at any time without prior notice.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Portal to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another person or organisation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account
• Introduce malware, viruses, or any harmful code
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Portal's operation
• Use the Portal for any unlawful purpose

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension of access and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement authorities.

User Accounts

Where access requires an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You must notify NITA-U immediately of any suspected unauthorised use of your account. NITA-U is not liable for any loss arising from failure to safeguard your login credentials.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Portal — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of NITA-U or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Portal content without express written permission from NITA-U.

Disclaimers

The Portal is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. NITA-U makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Portal will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NITA-U shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Portal, even if NITA-U has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Changes to These Terms

NITA-U reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Portal after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
